YES BOSS MUSIC are heading out to Nancy in the East of France for the JDM festival. After last years success at the NOVO FESTI with MY LEFT RETINA and Yes Boss DJ's we are taking some fresh talent in the form of the GENTLE MYSTICS.
Au fond du Jardin du Michel or JDM festival comes from the same roots as the Novo Festi last year. This year however the festival has moved to a much larger venue and the lineup is looking very strong. I think you will all agree that this is going to be a great start to the summer!!
The Gentle Mystics are joining the Yes Boss crew for this summers excursion. Watch them set up before their gigs and you’d be forgiven for mistaking most of the members of the Gentle Mystics for the rodies’ kids. But don’t let their ages fool you. What they lack in years they make up for with explosive energy, raw talent and extra raw beats.
There to make you move using the power of real instruments. Their arsenal: accordions, tubas, trumpets, strings, sax, beats, keys, and synth – plus some singularly sexy and brassy vocals. All smashed together into what can only be described as “gyp-hop”: wailing chords cast up from a bygone era mixed with thumping modern beats. Imagine circus freakshow-era Tom Waits on ecstasy and peyote. Join Noemie, Elian, Cosmo, Merlin, Vahakn, Orlando, Bittelli, and Vladimir for a bumping, honking, howling, wailing, bouncing, booming, exploding set. Sometimes ridiculous and - frequently – just a little bit scary. Guaranteed to be like no other this weekend, come share in their eclectic gypsy chaos.
Yes Boss DJ's are also playing throughout the weekend so be sure to book your tickets now. Flights are cheap and if your worried about the environment then you can get the Eurostar to Lille and a TGV to Nancy from there.
